Thunder & Buck Moon
Our Full Moon Suppers are inspired by seasonal abundance familiar to this territory with cooking techniques and menus that may have been used by early settlers in our region. The Full Moon Suppers are served in different locations on the farm and celebrate the close ties between traditional agriculture and lunar rhythms.
Kim Wheatley will be present with us for our full moon suppers sharing traditions, craft and song of her people and her culture. Kim is an Ojibwe Anishinaabe Grandmother from Shawanaga First Nation Reserve and carries the spirit name Head or Leader of the Fireflower and is Turtle Clan. She has appeared on TV, radio and in many news articles connected to her passion of Indigenous Knowledge sharing. Kim has worked with over 34 First Nation communities having organized many Indigenous events, authored 4 books, received city awards & volunteers on a variety of boards as an Indigenous Advisor.
Full Moon Suppers are served al fresco, under the stars with a bonfire – weather permitting.
Individual tickets are $85 + tax per person. Gratuities are not included but always appreciated on the day of the event for our service and kitchen team. If cancellations are made 4 days prior to the event date, guests will be eligible to receive a full refund or South Pond Farms credit of the same value.
