Artist: Diana Collins Wilkes – Painting

I am fascinated by all kinds of art. Artists who focus on one medium and one style produce wonderful work, of course, but I think I am even more drawn to those who experiment with different approaches or mediums. On the one hand, Diana has a passion for portraits, but I also admire her thought-provoking abstract work. Through it all, she strives to express, as she so eloquently puts it, “the unity that pervades life.”

I share her belief in the way small things can inspire us and provide great beauty if we take a moment to appreciate them. I know visitors to Art in the Fields will find themselves absorbed and moved by her paintings.

Art in the Fields runs from July 1 to July 7 at South Pond Farms from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., except for July 6 10:00 to 1:00. Join us for an opening reception on Sunday, June 30 from 1:00 to 5:00.
